What lucky chipmunks and bears you got!!

Call me stupid but I have never seen somebody can chicken like that. Looks like a great idea!! Do you just cook it and put it in the jars or do you put preservatives into it. Do you freeze, refrigerate, shelf it? I think I want to try this, it would be perfect for chicken noodle soup.

I didn't know either until about a month ago when our ward did it. Apparently you can CAN meat.

I was so excited because sometimes I like to change my menu last minute and all the meat is frozen. It stays on a shelf and is SO easy. All you have to do is add salt to it. I will send you an email with the instructions. =o)

So impressive Rachel! I know Mom used to always can chicken and also shredded beef for Mexican meals...I would love your canned chicken recipe!

Hmm...I think that with my current mood swings lately I would have to be a bear instead of a chipmunk :)

Check you out...you domestic goddess! I'm going to clean out my laundry room shelves (since I'm not lucky enough to have a big pantry like you) and hopefully the bare shelves will inspire me to continue to add to my food storage!
